So I was going down memory lane this past week and thinking of my old neighborhood in Sandy. So I decided to look for pictures that had my friends in them that look at my blog so they could go down memory lane. And for those of you not in the pictures, see if you can pick me out. It's not that hard, I look like I am 12 when I am really like 17!!!

Life
So I have sent my two oldest children off to school and I thought that life would be great. I was imagining all this free time to myself and all that I could get done. Well, I must have been in lala land when I dreamed this. I have forgotton how much time a 2 year old demands. I never knew how much Berlyn and Wes entertained Andy. He has been so lonely without them. And so I guess I am his entertainment! He follows me everywhere and does everything I do. It is really cute, but at the same time kind of annoying. I can't even take a shower by myself. And now he has to blowdry his hair with me. Anyway, life is still great, my house will probably never be totally organized, but at least my kids will know that I played with them and we did stuff together. Berlyn and Wes have completed two weeks of school already and both are loving it. Wes is so excited every morning to go back. Andy is crazy, but the cutest kid. He keeps me on my toes and has decided that "Why Mama?" is a wonderful thing to say. Macady hasn't slept for three nights and I got a good look in her mouth today and she is cutting three top teeth. She can't breath out of her nose and has a slight fever, but she is still a happy baby. My wonderful husband and I get to go on a date tonight thanks to some friends in the ward that we are doing a babysitting swap with. So life is great and I think that the craziness makes it even better!

Ezra Taft Benson Stand Up For Freedom
Adrienne didn't want her blog used as a political forum for me to express my views. However when I found a talk given by Ezra Taft Benson about the fate our country she agreed to allow it. If this is something that he was worried about in 1965 how much more need have now to worry about it and stand for freedom. It is long but every second is worth it. Watch in parts if needed.

Utah Here We Come!!!
We headed up to Utah the last week of July for our annual vacation. When you live out of state and you want to see family, then your vacations consist of going to Utah. One of these days we will make it to Disneyland! We had a really good time seeing family. My little brother Jake and his wife Amber just had a baby boy at the end of June, so we got to meet him (Michael) and be there for his blessing. My older brother and his family drove from Wisconsin. So I can't complain about my 13 hour drive seeing as theirs was 22 hours. It was so good to see them and to have our kids get to know each other better. My older sister Allison was gracious enough to let my family stay in their fifth-wheel trailer. So we had a little bit of privacy. The older kids slept in the house with all the other cousins, and we had the little ones with us in the trailer. Macady decided that she didn't want to sleep anymore and was up almost every two hours while we were there. Alex thinks she could smell me! I think she was just a confused little girl who didn't know what the heck was going on. But she was a real trooper and did great especially driving! We were able to see all our parents and grandparents and siblings which was fun. It was a good vacation, but I was ready to be home and back to our own life. Here are a couple of pictures of the good times!Who had the smart idea to let two 7 year olds on a ATV by themselves? Here is Berlyn driving her cousin Amy around in Amy's backyard.
The family standing outside the Draper Temple. Alex's dad and step-mom bought a house a couple of years ago and it is in the subdivision right across the street from the temple. They are very excited for it to be done.
Here is Alex, Berlyn and Wes on the ATV's. Alex took them around the neighborhood but then decided to stay in the yard so he wouldn't get a ticket.
Wesley standing for a pose with the Hoover Damn. I decided to teach Andy to say "Grandma, the Damn Wall!" So he has been walking around saying "Damn Wall!" I think it is pretty funny, especially when he gets mad at the wall and says it!
This is Macady with Great-Grandma Hancock. She is Alex's grandma and the mother of 14 children and way too many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to count!
Outside the Las Vegas temple on a very windy morning.
Nothing like a good old pillowcase race with the cousins!!
Ready Set GO!!!!!
We took the new Bullet Train as the kids called it into Salt Lake and met Alex's sister at the Gateway for some fun in the water. The kids loved the train, but I am glad we only took it once. it took an hour and a half from Roy to Salt Lake and then 45 minutes to get home. But it was for the kids!!!

Vacation, Vacation, Vacation
We are finally home from our two week vacation to Utah!!! Vacations are great, but they are also a pain in the you know what! You are still dealing with life, however you are sleeping in a strange bed (or a trailer like we were), living out of a suitcase, and doing a lot of driving. But I guess that is part of the fun. We had a really good time catching up with friends and family. I will work on getting pictures up later this week, maybe I will even figure out how to do a slide show, but don't get your hopes up too high!!!

Welcome Back to School!!!
Today was the first day of school. Berlyn and Wes were so excited to get up and go. Andy felt left out, so he decided to grab a back pack and be in the picture as well. Berlyn is in second grade and Wes started Kindergarten. Kindergarten is all day here in Tucson, so it was a long day for us all. Andy was asking for them all day and kept asking Why? They both had a good day, and we are hoping for a good year.
